President

Murray Good

Murray Good is the president and creative visionary of Whitecrest Mushrooms since purchasing the mushroom farm and property in 2002. Whitecrest produces over two million pounds of brown cremini and Portobello mushrooms for the Ontario fresh market. Like the majority of other mushroom farms, Whitecrest often struggled to hire, train and retain enough labour to harvest their crop throughout the entire year due to a growing labour shortage. In 2012, Murray initiated a research project at Western University that laid the technological foundations for harvesting fresh mushrooms robotically with the ultimate objective of solving the ongoing labour issue in the global mushroom industry. Based on the success of the research projects, Murray founded Mycionics Inc. in 2014 and now sits as the company’s current president. Murray is also the past president of Mushrooms Canada, a voluntary, non-profit organization whose members are dedicated to the production and marketing of fresh mushrooms in Canada.
Chief Executive Officer

Michael Curry

He brings over 15 years of experience investing in sustainable agriculture and healthy food companies in North America with InvestEco capital, acting as an investor, portfolio board director, strategic partner and operator. Prior to Mycionics, Michael invested in an automated greenhouse company producing micro and leafy greens, selling to all major retailers across Canada. He also formerly spent 6 years on the board of the Stop Community Food Centre and as trustee for Trees Ontario. Michael was raised on a farm in southern Ontario and studied geography at McGill University while spending summers in Northern Canada planting trees and supervising reforestation projects. He is passionate about nature and loves spending time exploring the great outdoors with his wife and three children.
Chief Technology Officer

Stefan Glibetic

Stefan is the Chief Technology Officer at Mycionics Inc. and the company’s first full-time employee. He has an undergraduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering Science from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Western University in London, Ontario. His master’s thesis entitled “Development of a Real-Time 3D Mushroom Vision System for Autonomous Mushroom Harvesting” laid the foundations for all of Mycionics’ proprietary vision-based technologies. He leads a broad spectrum of technological integration and development initiatives while providing overall leadership to Mycionics’ mechanical, electrical, firmware and software development teams. He brings over 5 years of professional robotics experience and contributes significantly to the company’s strategic direction being administered by the board of directors.
